I chose to make Fantasy Story in traditional comic strip format instead of as a long form comic, because I believed the limitations would push my creativity further. This strip is an attempt to push my self imposed boundries. I hope it worked. Did it? Leave a comment=)

i like how you are experimenting
with the layout-paneling.
but the drawing of Gobbo opening
the crank is unclear. it took me
2 times re-look to figure out.
2 times is not bad. it could be worse.
but your mission is to draw the audience
into a cinematic-animatics feel like.
great effort!
last panel of the eyes and ‘Hee hee hee’
feels a bit stretched. is it supposed to be like that?

I got it at a glance. Then again I’m used to anime/manga comics where I need to remember to read from right to left etc. Also I can read upside-down so that helps too
Irony – the only ‘fair’ fight a gobbo really likes is when then ounumber opponents a gazillion to one. A troll counts as several gobbos so no wonder the gobbo is cackling … of course it hopes the troll doesn’t decide to grab a snack before the battle heh heh.

Thanks for your feedback cy, I’m always looking to improve.
Baldimanr, thanks for your comments, it’s nice to see you getting into the story. I wonder what you both are expecting in the next strip….
See you then =)

Hopefully the Dwarf army from a few strips will have taken care of the troll – can’t wait to see the look on the gobbo’s face when he actually lets then in heh heh. Though the dwarf party will probably be just as surprised to see a gobbo, an elf and a human in the room .., could be the basis for a strip full of comic tension – pun intended
